Work Party needed this Saturday May 13th Sorry for the late notice but we are looking to get a work party together this Saturday May 13th at 9am to Work Party needed this Saturday May 13th Sorry for the late notice but we are looking to get a work party together this Saturday May 13th at 9am to clean up and get remnants of some old utility poles into a dumpster so it can be hauled away this Monday. Also we have some brush and sticks we need moved off the lawn. It would be nice to get at least a dozen people so it will only take an hour or 2 at the most. More hands, the better and shorter the time it will take. Bring your work gloves. We have a tractor to move the big stuff, just need hands, forks and shovels for the little stuff. Range damage and rules FINAL WARNING! It has not been 4 days since the club had its "Clean-up Day" in which over 40+ volunteers and members cleaned the club up, that some people trashed the ranges and broke brand new target stands. The club greatly appreciates those that follow the rules and help maintain the club but the club Officers and B.O.D. have no more patience with those that disobey the club rules, both those rules that are posted on the ranges and the rules that YOU the member agreed too when you paid for your MEMBERSHIP. This is a club, if you don't respect the club, the rules or fellow members, you WILL BE ASKED TO LEAVE. Damaging and trashing the club is only disrespecting fellow club members and those that volunteer to keep the club running. Without them, we would not have these great facilities. From this point on, any MEMBER found violating any of the club rules or acting in an unsafe manor by a club officer, member of the B.O.D., or Range Safety Officer, will have their use of the facility immediately suspended till that member goes in front of the B.O.D. and Club Officers and ask to have it reinstated. Any "Non-member" found violating the rules or on the property not during an organized club sanctioned activity (e.g. Trap and Skeet hours, matches on the rifle/pistol range) will be issued a notice of trespass. Non-members are not allowed on club property except during organized events supervised by a Club Range Safety Officer. This is a requirement of our insurance carrier and legal liability. Some common violations: -Shooting shotguns on the rifle and pistol ranges at club target stands. The shooter MUST supply their OWN target stands for patterning and place those stands at the base of the impact berm and not in front of a club stand. Shooting birdshot, buckshot or slugs causes excessive damage and shortens the life of the target stands. -Shooting bottles (of ANY material) on the range, clay birds, steel targets etc is forbidden. ONLY PAPER TARGETs are approved for use on the range outside of club sanctioned activities. -Climbing the berms is forbidden. This is a SAFETY issue. -Shooting Tannerite or other exploding targets is forbidden. If you don't like the rules, you can come to an officer's meeting and share your concerns. These rules were put together for the safety of our fellow club members, our neighbors and requirements of our insurance company. If you see a violation.. Please email the club president and let him know of any violations. You can simply let the officers know the license plate number and the rule violation or what was going on. This is a CLUB and is made up of MEMBERS. People that trash our ranges and club grounds only cause excessive work by VOLUNTEER MEMBERS that keep the club running. If we lose volunteers because of this, the club will be forced to hire a property maintenance company thus doubling our dues. If you want to be more active with the club and volunteer, please contact our club president, Alan. Its ALL members' RESPONSIBILITY to keep the range safe and clean. Hi all! Clean up day is this Saturday April 22 from 9am to 2pm We have a lot to do and a raffle and food for those that volunteer! First the to-do; -Club will provide and pay for all paint, brushes, gas, oil, chain oil, and material needed all jobs except for tools. -Lawns, We have a lot of lawn damage that needs repairing. Divot stepping, lawn raking and rolling. So, those that have an ATV, lawn roller or trailer, please bring them. The club has a roller and a member has volunteered his roller too but neither have an ATV to pull it. -Brush and trees., we had a brush cutter come through and have a lot of cut brush to pile. Also, we have some trees that need cutting and trimming. So those with brush cutters, pole saws and chain saws, please bring it. We also have a lot of brush stubble to clean up. -Painting the club house- the club house windows need their white trim painted. We will provide paint and brushes but please bring a ladder. -Target holders, we need to assemble A LOT of stands for the year. So bring your cordless screwdriver. -Trash and wad pickup on the ranges and property. So tools to bring. Pruning shears, brushcutters, pole pruners, rakes, chain saws and related safety gear, leaf blowers. We will supply gas & oil for power equipment. Personal gear; Boots(suitable for wet conditions) & gloves. Maybe rain gear but we hope not. So the raffle.... We have $100, $50 and $25 gift certificates.
