This coming Saturday June 13th is free fishing day in Vermont. This means people may fish without having to first obtain a a license for the entire day of June 13th. Free fishing days are a great opportunity to introduce new folks to fishing in Vermont. Sports fishing in Vermont is an important part of wildlife conservation. The sportspeople of Vermont are the foremost stewards of conservation and wildlife preservation. As such stewards of conservation, the Vermont Federation of Sportsman's Clubs encourages you to utilize this day of free fishing to help promote the outdoors sports in the Green Mountain State.
